Studio Tour with Nitzan Mintz and Dede Bandaid

  • New York, New York United States (map)

The Tel Aviv Museum of Art's American Friends (TAMAF) invited members to a studio visit with Dede Bandaid and Nitzan Mintz with a conversation moderated by Cobi Krieger. Together with Tal Huber, the artists initiated the Kidnapped from Israel guerrilla public street art campaign, which successfully raised awareness of the Israel–Hamas war hostage crisis that commenced on October 7, 2023.

Dede Bandaid, a multidisciplinary urban artist from Tel Aviv, communicates through various mediums in the public space. Beginning his artistic journey post-military service and graduation from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, he has showcased in galleries, exhibition spaces, and art events worldwide, from London and New York to Berlin and Tel Aviv.

Nitzan Mintz, a visual poet from Tel Aviv, began working a decade ago in the streets of Tel Aviv, where she would create visual poetry for specific locations in the city. Her practice evolved into creating captivating studio pieces.
